the children have fun participating in the Island
Adventure Club.
Hawk's
Cay Resort is recognized as a kids friendly vacation
paradise and offers a schedule of organized children's
activities throughout the day . Parents appreciate
the Island Adventure Club as it allows them some
free time to do their own thing whether it be reading a
novel by the adult pool, swimming without the need to
supervise the little ones, or relaxing with adult
friends. Parents can soak up the sun, relax under a tiki
umbrella, or read under a shady palm tree at the Hawk's
Cay lagoon while the children have fun participating in
the Island Adventure Club.
Hawk's
Cay has 177 Inn room accommodations and about 175 two
bedroom vacation villa accommodations which provides the
resort with the occupancy for a Kids Friendly
resort.
Children
participate in a rotating schedule of activities which
change daily. Each day's activities relates to the day's
chosen theme. Current Daily Activity Themes : Under the
Sea Day, Madigra Day, Nature Day, Explorers Day, Sports
Day, Color Day. Past themes have focused on dinosaurs,
the beach, and circus. Feed back from parents and
children indicates the theme days have been well
received. The kids design sand creations, paint
seashells, search from sea creatures, and race tiki boats
in the lagoon.
HOLIDAY
ACTIVITIES
During
holidays there is a special schedule of children's
activities which overrides the normal planned set of
activities.
Children
ages 3-5 (must be bath room trained) participate in the
Little Pirates Club with theme oriented activities
during mornings from 9:30 to 1 PM with lunch included.
Fee for participating.
Small
children have access to the special pirate play
pool at the Indies Club which opened in
1999.
Children
between the ages of 6 and 11 may participate in the
Island Adventure Club 5 for a full day 9 AM to 4
PM Monday through Saturday with lunch included. A half
day morning 9:30 to 1 pm is also available. fees fort
participation. Children at this level participate in
nature oriented themes through games, arts and crafts,
water sports and fishing activities.
The
resort has a large salt water lagoon and FIVE
POOLS . Three pools are available for family use -
two of which were built in 1999. A pool for adults only
was completed in 1998, and a small children's pirate pool
was completed in 1999.
