GOLFING FOR KIDS IN THE FLORIDA KEYS   The Florida Keys are world famous for fishing and reef snorkeling, but has little to offer for the serious golfer. Adults can golf at the Key West Golf Club MM 5 and guests of Hawk's Cay have golf access to at the Sombrero Country Club Golf Course located in Marathon MM 50. There are facilities for children's golfing.   In addition to several miniature golf facilities in the Keys for children, kids can enjoy playing on a public golf course. . Key Colony Beach Golf Course near MM 53.5 Children are allowed to play on this 9 hole, PAR 3 public course with adult supervision between the hours of 7:30 AM to dusk. Clubs ($2) and pull carts ($1) are available for rental. Open daily and if no one is there to assist you rental and green fee, $7, is on the honor system. 305-289-1533. No tee times    . Gator Golf - MM 92 If they're big enough to hold a putter they're big enough to play 18 holes of miniature golf. It's fun miniature golf with alligator and waterfall hazards, weekdays 4 to 10 PM, weekends 1 to 10 PM, It's affordable at $3.50 for children, $4.50 for adults. 305-852-3499   . Cheeca Lodge - MM 82 For guests of Cheeca there is a PAR 3 , nine hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.   . Hawk's Cay Resort - MM 61 In addition to a new recreation building, Hawk's Cay has completed new outdoor recreation facilities. Located in the same general area as the children's pirate's splash pool and a new family pool is an 18 hole putting-challenge golf facility for adults and the young aspiring putter. 305-743-7000.   .
