are no mountains in the Keys but future mountain
climbers have a 24 foot artificial wall to climb if
they are so inclined. Open evenings between 6 PM and 9
PM the climbing wall of Climb Key West can be found at
the waters edge of the Hilton Resort and Marina.
Adults and young children 3 years of age and up can
scale this wall . For $9 children are provided with
climbing shoes, harness, instruction and a spotter.

popular tour of Key West, especially kids. This tour
provides an overview of all the places to see in Key
West, Cost for Teenage children and adults is $15, for
ages 4 to 12 the fee is $7. Tour is free for children

fascinates children more than coming face to face with
animals. A visit to Wildlife Rescue will usually
produce an assortment of rescue and recovering animals
- sea birds, raccoons, chickens .

Keys Wild Bird Center

center is a good place for children to see many wild
bird species - peregrine falcons, great white herons,
screech owl, ibis, pelicans, osprey, and peacocks. The
Center rescues injured, sick and orphaned birds and
provides rehabilitation with the goal of releasing
them back into the wild. Birds are kept in wire cages
and enclosures and may be viewed from a wooden
boardwalk path that crosses wetland grounds. Free but
donations support half the Center's cost. A few guided
tours but most are unguided to a lack of volunteers.

of Key West? Arrange to go on the Ghost Walking Tour
of Key West which lasts about 80 minutes and
introduces you to the haunted places and ghosts of Key
West. This nightly tour begins from the lobby of the
La Concha Hotel located at 430 Duval Street and is
guided by a caped and slightly scary fellow who leads
the way with a lantern to set the mood. $15 for adults
and $10 for kids 12 and younger. .

. Children can climb aboard a replica of Hemingway's
boat, or have a beverage on the verandah of the Zane
Grey Lounge, They'll love the fish viewing the store's

door and an easy stroll away. With World Wide
